Mariah is a certified, practising speech pathologist passionate about early child development.
Mariah has experience in assessment and intervention of speech and language disorders in the early years, having worked with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability and various other language, literacy and speech disorders. She works collaboratively with educators, parents and allied healthcare teams across varied settings in early intervention, including childcare centres, kinder and schools.
Mariah has also completed:
Training in the Hanen 'More Than Words®' program;
The Lidcombe Program for early childhood stuttering;
DIRFloortime® certification;
The Social Thinking training model; and
Extensive professional development in the area of early literacy development.
Mariah values the parent-therapist relationship and understands the importance of parent implemented support at home. She is passionate about working with families through family-centred care approaches, promoting language and early literacy skills in the most fun and enjoyable way.
Mariah enjoys chasing rubbish trucks with her twin boys.
